I need to see your project before I can determine a deadline or a rate. Any reference material you might have will also be helpful, such as a short brief, pictures, style guides, glossaries, term lists etc. I will get back to you with a proposed deadline and rate and will not start working on your project until we have reached an agreement and you’ve given me the green light.

I get to work

I translate or proofread your project from German or English to native Swedish. I might get back to you with questions during the process. Your feedback is invaluable and you are always welcome to ask questions along the way. Your content is safe with me – all information, documents and personal data are handled confidentially and according to GDPR.

Delivery

I proofread and check my own work before I deliver it back to you at the agreed deadline. Again – you are always welcome to get back to me with questions about the work carried out. Once the project is completed and you are happy with the work, I will send you an invoice based on the agreed rate. The invoice is to be paid within 30 days after the invoice date.

SPECIALIZATION

I specialize in several subjects but do most of my work in the fields of marketing, fashion, beauty and childrens’ products. I translate marketing and product descriptions for major brands and clients on a daily basis. As a multilingual 30-year-old modern woman with a degree in media, communication and PR, a huge personal interest in fashion and beauty and a toddler at home, I truly understand the market I’m translating for. Knowing your audience is everything.

VOLUNTEERING

I volunteer for Translators without Borders, a non-profit organization set up to provide translation services for humanitarian non-profits and for TED, a media organization that posts talks online for free distribution under the slogan "ideas worth spreading", as part of their TED Translators Programme.

In 2020, Anna Wiman Translation & Communication also sponsored a local project. With the aim of raising awareness about disabilities, Växjö-based nonprofit association Funkibator developed and printed 3,000 copies of some 30 educational books about disabilities for children aged 3–6 – written and produced by people with disabilities – which they donated to pre-schools in the Municipality of Växjö, Sweden.
